Purpose of this blog

This blog captures the various stages of house construction. 

I am skipping the initial stages of house construction. 

Once the house design was finalized from the architect end, it was given for approval at the Hoskote Planning.

One week later, it was sent to Muthusandra village office panchayat. We had to do something to get things faster so that approval gets done. 

The next task was to fix up a contractor. There are two decisions to be made here - go with a full contractor or with a labour contractor. Both have their pros and cons. Going with a full contractor means, we don't have to go behind procuring materials and labour. But, we never know the quality of construction or the kind of materials used for construction.

Labour contract - we have more control over the materials used. We procure the materials, and labour to construct is outsourced.
